Material Design 2 on Android P
Four years have passed since the release of Material Design, and everyone immediately took it fancy.
MD is fully used in the operation systems of Android: Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, and Chrome OS. The future of Android without this design is completely impossible. The first information about replacement of Material Design to Material Design 2 appeared in February. There was only аlink which gave to see small change in the Chrome browser but only on Android devices. On the April 7th, Google released first preview of Android P, where the elements of Material Design 2 are traced at. Android P can be already tested, but only on Google Pixel. MD 2 made the large changes in Android P design, and touched some APPs at Play Store.
A white color which brights the objects is selected on a background prevails in a design. Also, an important change is the rounded forms and “softer” design.
Android P includes many new animations. They are visible navigating on the screen, or from the application to the other one.
Native support appeared like on Iphone X. The system detects cut a display and tunes the user interface. Because of this, the clock is moved to the left
The changes haven’t even passed by the notification panel . Its appearance and animation were updated, and the system of notifications was improved. Now you can see the time of inbox messages and got the full photo. This function is called “Smart Answers”, but this function does not work in beta version.
There are more insignificant changes. Movable indicator of volume, which now is disposed from the right side, and below, there is a volume of voice signal.
The screen rotation function is improved too. Now when you turn the phone and hold it in one orientation, an icon appears in the left corner on a management panel. Pressing on an icon the phone flips over.
These are not all the changes done, but the most significant ones. Since this is a debut version, it can be assumed that large changes are still coming. We will be waiting and going to be the first, who inform you about them.
