Thank you for a wonderful season.

We are disappointed — as we are sure you all are — that the Valley Symphony Orchestra’s 2019–20 season ended early because of precautions surrounding the national COVID-19 outbreak.

Gathering together and sharing an experience is at the very heart of what we do, and we are all looking forward to bringing you world-class music as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for a wonderful 2019–20 season!

As for the concert that was to take place on March 27, we are pleased to share that it is being rescheduled as the season finale next year. Next season is Maestro Dabrowski’s 20th anniversary season and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate him than to perform a concert designed especially by him, and featuring some of the Valley’s most esteemed musicians.

Our silver lining in this situation is that we will have six concerts next season, and will offer renewing subscribers a preferred price, giving a credit for the concert that did not take place this year. Subscribers will be hearing from our staff starting next week with renewal information. Those who purchased single tickets to the concert can bring their tickets to the McAllen Performing Arts Center and have their refund processed.

Thank you for your support this year — and particularly during this time, a difficult one for us all. We hope you will draw inspiration from music and art, all those things which make us human and help us to transcend difficulty. We look forward with great anticipation to the day that the Symphony’s music returns and we can all gather in the concert hall once again.

PS — Watch for a special announcement next week regarding how the VSO intends to keep supplying the Valley with beautiful music during this time. We’ve got some special online treats in store!
