Earlier this week we touched on watering succulents and how they needed different soil. So today, we will get in depth on what makes succulent soil special.
If you’re like me, you think succulents add a little bit of happiness to every room. There are so many types, and colors that it’s hard to choose just one. So, like me, you might have tons! Which makes this project so perfect. You can make soil for all your little succulent babies!
What you’ll Need
- Potting Soil
- Coarse Sand (or poultry grit)
- Perlite
- A good bucket
How to
This mixture is quite an easy one.
Into your bucket your going to combined:
1 Part Perlite
2 Parts Sand or Grit
3 Parts Soil
For those that don’t know, a part depends on how much soil you plant on making. If you plan on filling a 2 gallon bucket for example, you would put in 5 cups perlite, 10 cups sand/grit and 15 cups soil (for those that see the math, yes that’s not quite 2 gallons, but its close!)
