We began 2016 with a house full of hackers in town

HelloMeets was started in May 2015 as a pure developers community. We never thought that 8 months down the line we would be doing events within 7 communities.

As we have always been very passionate about developing the tech community so we came up with HelloHackers. We have seen the tech communities problems very closely since our inception. It’s more of a supply problem.

We need to develop coding culture since early college days. And nothing can be better for this than doing regular events exclusively for hackers. HelloHackers is one place for hackers in town to discuss and brainstorm on ideas and explore ways to collaborate, an open ended, tech savy discussion on interesting projects, for hackers by hackers.

Hellohackers was first started in October 2015 by one of our tech community evangalist, Saurav Tomar, a college dropout entrepreneur, Angel Hack, Facebook and mutiple hackathons winner.

We would love to share with you all some very interesting projects presented by our community at HelloHackers:

VisualQA : Let Images Speak

Deep learning is a branch of machine learning based on a set of algorithms that attempt to model high-level abstractions in data by using multiple processing layers with complex structures, or otherwise composed of multiple non-linear transformations.

Arush Kakkar presented his project VisualQA, which uses deep neural networks to answer questions based on images. Trained on the VQA Dataset, you can use your own images with the included repository to get the neural network to answer questions on the image. He is working on a web demo for the same.

DIKY : Reverse Zuckerberg

Himanshu Gupta presented his project, DIKY (Do I Know You) is a “personality based, social, people discovery platform”. Away from the quagmire of managed personalities online, DIKY tries to bring authenticity to Social Networking and Relationship Building.

Built on proprietary algorithm, it crowd sources your personality traits (loving, kind, trustworthy etc) and will soon start crowd sourcing activities you like to do (Travel, foodie, Sports etc) from friends and family in a very unique way — the reverse social network effect.

Treasure4Health

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects, devices, vehicles, buildings and other items which are embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

Harshul Jain presented his project, Treasure4Health, it is a hardware device that gathers the vitals of the body, including but not limited to heart rate, respiration rate, oxygen content, blood pressure, haemoglobin at regular intervals. He is looking for advice on algorithmic as well as front end solutions to solve key security and networking issues and establish a good IOT solution.

Soccer-Cli : Work hard , Play harder ….. exclusive tool for Hackers

Archit Verma presented his project, Soccer-Cli, it’s a command line hack, which shows you live and past football scores directly from the command line. It is open source, and has been getting good traction in the open source community, 300+ stars on GitHub, 40k downloads on PyPi and dozens of pull requests.

Facebook was started as a dorm-room project that went on to become the largest social-network making it’s co-founder Mark as 6th richest man in the world . This clearly proves the power of projects that these hackers have created. At HelloHackers we aim to give recognition to such dorm-room projects which have the power to make this world a better place.

Thank you to all our community members for making this happen. To join us for the next HelloHackers sign up here
