13. How to Install a plugin in Cura?

Today I installed a plugin for Cura.

Here are the steps performed to install ‘CuraSettingsWritr’ Plugin in Mac:

1. Identify the plugin and download it locally. As an example, go to this fork of ‘CuraSettingsWriter’ project and download the source code as a zip file. Incidentally, this project got updated two days ago(June 12, 2020) to support the latest version of Cura (4.6.1)
2. Go to ‘Applications’ find Cura.
3. Right-click on ‘Cura’, and select ‘Show Package Contents’.
4. Navigate to the ‘Plugins’ folder as shown below.

5. Paste the Project zip here and unzip it.

6. Restart Cura, which will load all the plugins.

This particular plugin is used to export all the Cura settings as an html.

Enjoy the new plugin!
