The Purpose of Life Isn’t to Be Happy
Zat Rana

Great piece, thanks. The part in the beginning about the history of the word “happy” in English is fascinating.

As Joko Beck, Pema Chodron, and other great Buddhist teachers have said, you can’t start moving toward contentment until you realize that nothing will ever satisfy you… give up hope that you need to be somewhere or someone else, ever!

Paraphrasing there, but yeh!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
