Because there is a growing paucity of Human Intelligence. Human resistance. Human uncommon sense.
“Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?”
This seemingly rhetorical question, posed by Yossarian in Joseph Heller’s Catch-22, is what one asks when one feels that everyone else is asking stupid questions and one wants to join in and/or point out how obviously stupid their questions are. Or, merely, because one wants to find out why so many people are working so hard to kill oneself.
It appears, that our collective intellect and uncommon sense of what is right and wrong has been hijacked by a malevolent anti-evolutionary force.
Whenever I stop and quietly ruminate on why so many people are working so hard to kill oneself, the answers are always terrifying and ludacris… or maybe I mean 50 Cent.
I mean we cut down trees so we can wipe our asses, and I was okay with that for 30 years of my life. It’s like I suddenly woke up one morning and realized that 95% of the sht in the supermarket gives you cancer. Ludacris right?
My current personal theory on all this is that we were bred to survive anything, and that, combined with the belief that we are somehow separate from each other and all matter, makes us the perfect patsies and slaves to some truly “external” mental forces. I mean people will put up with anything. Have you noticed? We have given away the one thing we really have to give away… our minds.
