Interesting, but Democrats are not addressing the fast-changing job market what with the advent of robots, driverless cars, trucks, and pilotless airplanes looming in the near future. This will affect all racial/ethnic groups. And is this job market change going to usher in the day of a Universal Basic Income?
Rather than a transaction tax, the tax ought to be on the movement of money. That is a capitalistic concept expressed by Adam Smith and Alexander Hamilton.
A movement tax would be on all money every time it moves. This would snag those derivative markets, which currently skate through the system relatively unscathed as far as taxes are concerned. The problem however is that Sen. Chuck Schumer is a Wall Street lackey.
Democrats have some philosophical housecleaning to do.
