The paragraph on healthcare was informative. Why not make public schools community centers that include a health clinic, perhaps an immediate care center using technology to aid in diagnoses and perhaps some treatments?

Urban schools ought to be year-round and include nursery and preschool as well as early childhood education along with K-12.

Using technology in education would be beneficial too. It would also enable public schools to hire workers from the community to assist in teaching, patrolling halls and bathrooms. There could also be after school programs. Too, adult education could be provided to help adults keep upgrading their job skills. This is something that Silicon Valley might be interested in funding.
