To Decatur… And Beyond

East Atlanta by Bike

On a bright, oddly warm day in February, I set out on a bike ride to Decatur and back.

There was a slight breeze, which made the leaves rustle slightly as I entered Emory University.

I stopped for lunch in Decatur Square, then turned back.

There was a strong headwind on the Stone Mountain bike path, and I was mildly inconvenienced by a passing freight train.

However, as I continued onto the Freedom Park path, the wind lessened once again into a breeze.

The Beltline was crowded with people, as well as a number of buskers.

I turned off of the Beltline and headed back home. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful ride.
