My name is Preston Grant Hawkins. I have been incarcerated since 1995. Only 17 years old when my case occurred. I was given a Capital Life sentence. Even though my case was clearly self-defense. The purpose of this website/blog is so people can look at the facts and hear my side of the story. Undistorted by sensational media, small-town politics and the vindictive prosecution. I want to show how self-defense cases have been under attack for some time. Without sufficient resources and effective assistance of counsel. It is an uphill battle to prove your innocence. By analyzing the facts in this website/blog you will clearly see it was self-defense. That I was railroaded and quickly forgotten. It is my sincere hope that people will take an interest in my case. To expose judicial corruption. To help secure my freedom. And help others with similar situations. Justice should not only be for people with wealth and connections. The anti- gun lobbyist and anti — self-defense movements should not be able to help secure convictions. Simply because they dislike our right to bear arms. Or that someone may be forced to take someones life in order to preserve their own. These movements help make laws unnecessary convoluted. The constitution should mean something! What has happened to me could easily happen to you.
