Beautiful and Functional Heels Designed by Scientists

Marketing manager Heidi Jewell currently puts her talents to use for VOCO Creative in Denver, Colorado. Formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, Heidi Jewell followed her passions for fashion and advertising to Denver, where she continues to follow fashion trends and news.
One exciting trend is the ingenious idea of a former SpaceX employee, a rocket scientist, an orthopedic surgeon and a mechanical engineer who teamed up to bring the public a true technological wonder: really comfortable stilettos.
Paired with a designer and a master Italian shoemaker, this interdisciplinary team created a four-inch heel that is optimized for functionality and comfort. These new shoes are made from ballistic-grade polyurethane, and do not include the traditional and painful internal steel parts that other heels do. Instead, parts of the shoe are designed to interlock seamlessly without creating pressure points.
The result is easy-to-wear heels that are as comfortable as low wedges. Already in high demand, the waiting list for these comfortable $900 shoes is thousands of names long.
