CR: Current Read ➝ Often placed in user’s socials bio
TBR List: To-Be-Read list ➝ A list of books you want to read
DNF: Did Not Finish ➝ A book that, no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t get through
GR: Goodreads ➝ A platfrom to find new books, rate and review past reads, receive personalized reading recommendations, and engage with friends and authors
PB: Paperback ➝ A book with softcover or paperboard cover
HC: Hardcover ➝ A book with cover made from thick cardboard wrapped in cloth
WIP: Work In Progress ➝ A book that author is currently working on
BOTM: Book of the Month ➝ A monthly membership service that allows users to pick books at discounted pricing

Buddy Read ➝ An agreement to read the same book at the same time as someone else and can discuss it together later
Reading Slump ➝ A period of time in which you have difficulty picking up a book or you struggle with reading
New Release ➝ A book that has been released recently
Book Hangover ➝ A book leaves you emotionally drained
Shelfie ➝ A photo of your bookshelf.
Wrap-Up ➝ A summary of the books you read in the previous month, which frequently includes star ratings for each book
