Vishnu Deo Road rehabilitated

Road users of Vishnu Deo Road in Nakasi will have access to better road conditions once Fulton Hogan Hiways (FHH) complete road rehabilitations in the area.

The roads were in poor condition and had not been maintained for a number of years.

FHH Stabilising Supervisor, Inia Hughes said they have already started maintenance work on the 170-metre section of the road.

“We have cleaned the drains and will be doing cement stabilisation on the eight-metre wide road. Once done, it should bring some comfort to motorists.

“The existing material will be mixed with cement to a depth of 250mm, stabilisation will follow using a roller and a grader. Sealing will complete the process,” he said.

Vishnu Deo Road is three kilometres long and services one primary and two secondary schools and was one of the roads improved under the Fiji Roads Authority road rehabilitation programme.
