Instead of relying on third parties for practical application of the seed, we should be able to save the seed on the desktop client, encoded using client specific keys + our password.
If what I’m using is the latest version, I have to enter the seed every time, and this is not only inconvenient (I had chosen a long sentence that I type in) but much less secure compared to a password + client encoded seed, because I have type it in everytime or copy paste from somewhere.
I need not mention that password would only work on that single installation. A re-installation would also require re-entering and re-encoding of the seed.
