Ok, it may not be totally black and white, but one thing is to say “I want to do this and that one…

one thing is to say “I want to do this and that one day”, and another thing is to have real drive to do it… When you have it, you act.

I agree with this completely. Ultimately, if you put it straight, you either talk or act.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that you should completely ignore what people who are already there have to say about their experiences and push forward. You just have to keep your own path in mind while reading about others and their recommendations and such. You can validate your choices this way, too.

But you say that something changed in you and you started to pursuit things you only talked about before — can you tell a little more about that? I mean, can you identify exact breaking point, or was it more lateral thing?

I can indeed identify a breaking point and I can also say that it has changed a lot in me, not only my views on career and pursuing my dreams, but also my views on life itself and the choices I make and how I live, and even relationships with other people.

I think it happened when a few things at once in my life formed a so-called critical mass of meaningless routine and I just pushed everything aside for a moment and thought. I cleared my mind and asked myself what I really want to do with my life and if I really have to devote so much time to things I do not truly enjoy that were kind of forced upon me by traditions, society, views of others etc. My answer was no, I don’t have to do this, not for anyone else and not for myself. If I want to be happy, I have to do what I love, not what somebody told me is cool or profitable or whatever else. After some consideration and a few hard decisions, I went for it, and in the process I also became more of a man of now, not later or tomorrow.
