An oasis of calm for anxious minds

For years, I have been a fan of a television programs that help me turn off my brain. Within the flood of options available on streaming services, I often look for the most quiet, pastoral (not *necessarily,* but sometimes boring) shows that I can find.

I call it Slow TV.

In a moment when many of us are feeling anxious and vulnerable, shows that are calming rather than exciting are the order of the day. Instead of adrenalin-inducing drama and action, Slow TV offers the television equivalent of a nice cup of tea or a leisurely stroll around the park. …
