You’re right in that the problems that arise with hanging on to old ideas really comes down to our relationship with the ideas, our plans and expectations for them, rather than the ideas themselves.
I have been grappling with this very thing, and recently wrote about it as well (and published a massive list of all the “caged” ideas that had been accumulating over the years in order to set them free).
Now I’m ready to start writing again without the massive “idea debt” that I had built up.
I definitely agree with this. And just like there are many ways to be a successful and happy person, I believe there are many valid ways to be a successful entrepreneur, too.
