Innovation matters.

Buzzkill: But most people aren’t that original.

For one thing, people are generally terrified of speaking the truth. To themselves, to others and to the world (which is self, magnified). Much of what we call innovation feels like mockery. Why? Because innovation is sustenance and a byproduct of the soul. Of the tender moments where the goose flys high in the sky, looks into the lake beneath her and neither the bird nor the water try to hold, grasp or own the reflection of the other. What many call innovation today feels like cheap food, void of the nourishment that depth and slowing down and going deep can offer us. Ironically enough, sometimes slowing down can still look fast on the outside and the more present we are, the faster we’re able to go.
