Stop Taking Advice
Gary Wu

I like the way you think but I would have to disagree with your article. sometimes it’s the people we’re closest to, that we spend the most time with, who are able to see facets of us that we ourselves are blind to. it’s true we see things not as they are but as we are, yet then again, aren’t we all shaped by the experiences and the relationships we’ve formed with other people, and especially with our closest friends and family?

perhaps then it’s not about whether we take their advice or not, but about tweaking their advice to suit ourselves. then that achieves the best of both worlds and a level of maturity that enables you to think independently for yourself.

and by the way, isn’t it ironic that you’re taking advice from Tom Cruise about not taking advice from people??
