This is a great exercise and it’s always interesting to see a variety of perspectives on live UIs. As a UX professional working in travel (though not for Booking), I and my team, often look at Booking as part of our competitive analysis. They are the number 1 hotel booking site, beating out cleaner experiences such as Hotels.com who consistently offer the same prices on properties. In user tests, travel shoppers consistently choose Booking’s busy-looking UI. It’s often baffling as it seems so overwhelming and antithetical from the premises that often drive our UX/UI instincts. Thanks for the great experiment!
