Three Things Every Company Needs

That was thought provoking umair haque. I’ve never thought of applying these concepts to an organization.

I suppose in a startup the founder must fundamentally be all three in the beginning. The spirit by creating a mission statement that he/she keeps updating yearly. The heart in choosing the right social good to produce, and the mind in discovering a scalable model that allows for profit generation.

What seems to happen in the Silicon Valley type of business is these roles don’t get hired for properly. Most founders write their mission statement once and forget about it. The what doesn’t matter once investors get brought in or the how.

I suppose that is the question now. How does a founder discover investors that will support such a company? I think this is a systemic problem for now. But not insurmountable.
