Paytm Hack: Stay Vigilante. Stay Secure.
Caution: The stuff mentioned in the blog has no intent to persuade anyone to indulge in illegal activity of any sort. It is just to share an idea floating around in my mind and also to aware people of the possible fraudulent.
Most of you might have come across those high charging services like pubs and bars that suck your wallet empty charging twice and thrice the actual amount of the product.
And many of you might have thought about deceiving those service providers to compensate for all that extra charges they have levied on you, at least.
And a few of you having a cunning mind might have found a way to even pull that through.
I and a friend of mine found ourselves discussing on the topic, and amidst those thoughts on ethics and stuff, came up with a very safe and secure method to pull that kind of stuff.
We, observed that while paying through paytm, shopkeepers just checks that payment successful window and most of them does not check for the money transfer message on their phone.
It actually makes sense because in a crowded place like pubs, attender won’t be checking the message on the phone.

Screenshot Trick
People have tried this stuff with screenshots, but it has its own limitation:
- Tick sign is stagnant.
- Only a fix amount can be used every time.
- Date and Time are fixed so do not match the real time.
Only a very ignorant person can be fooled by this trick, and in case you are caught, he will have the proof.
So, we thought about an unrealised local app on our phone with an exact interface like paytm, which accepts paytm number and amount and shows the transaction success window.
A name linked to the number will be saved by the user manually before doing the transaction by transferring some amount through the original paytm.
Summarising its working:
1) An app with a same interface as paytm will be installed on the device. It will not be registered on playstore, So can’t be traced back.
(Placed a star to differentiate it from the original )
2) Add a name to the number.
(User can get the name associated with a number by making a transaction through the original paytm app)
3) Enter the number and amount in the app, just like a normal one, nothing different, and it will display an exact transaction success window as an actual paytm app.
4) No one will be able to tell the difference, and in case the person checks for message on his phone, you can say that it is done from my end as you can see and in that case just tell him that you’ll give it an another try and pay through your actual paytm app.

Safe and Smooth you see…
Advice for Vendors:
Always check amount transfer notification on your phone rather than checking the customer’s phone.
Again, would mention that I have not developed or used this app or any similar service, nor advise anyone to indulge in such activity.
I hope the public and vendors are made aware of the possible frauds.
