It is usually the transition that defeats progress, not the change itself. I highly recommend a book titled “Managing Transitions” by William Bridges.

Thanks for the book recommendation, Richard. I’ve seen quite a few transitions fail in my short tenure as teacher. This one may too, at least in the short term. Bottom line, a lot of communication and listening needs to happen regardless of the soundness of the theory.

That said, I would say a lot of communication needs to happen to justify the status quo!
