Let me love you
These tears, they fall for you;
My heart, it yearns for you;
For no song can ever give solace to my qa’lb;
For no company can ever be a source of comfort for me;
If only you will, my Lord. If only you will.
The Sun shines, affirming Your glory;
The moon reflects Your unceasing mercy;
You are the Aww’al, the Aakhir;
The Za’hir, the Ba’tin;
I know my heart can pour out all this;
And I pray, my Lord;
I pray, that you grant me the love for You and You alone;
That befits my heart, my mind, my soul;
For the heart was made to love You and You alone;
Fill it with love for You, ya Rabb;
For the wordly attachment is bad for me, I know.
I know.
It distances me from my aims and ambitions;
My goals, my colossal expeditions;
Grant me the love of those whose love will bring me closer to You;
For You are my Wali — my protecting friend;
Don’t make me forget You, for I am never alone;
I know this heart yearns for you,
Let it love You even more.
I fear what they’d think about me;
Or if they’d like me the way I am;
But I know, I truly know,
You have made me perfect;
Just let me believe in that;
You are beautiful, you make all things beautiful;
Let me deluge in that, my Lord;
Let me believe in that, my Lord;
Let me believe in that -
Let me believe.
Believe,
In You.
For I love you, Ya Allah,
The Lord of the worlds;
I love You.
Now I know,
This heart was made for You.
Let me love You.
