My Unique Experience as a 9th Grade Teenager
Despite the fact that I am only 14 years old, I have lots of experience in life. I have experience of actually working for money and paying a monthly bill. In the world today, us teenagers have lots of desires, like me. However, we can’t depend on solely on our parents. They work tirelessly everyday and raise us. I decided to do something myself that probably no regular teenager has ever done before.
I’ve been working online since 2012 by taking surveys and interacting with advertisements. The pay is very minuscule compared to real world jobs, but this is online and you can work as long as you have a computer and internet. I earn literally by the penny and even though it is small, it has a lot of value to it. These penny payouts eventually add up to adequate rewards. I redeem these for gift cards such as Starbucks and Amazon. I also occasionally donate a couple of cents to charities.
I recently started paying for my own cell phone service month by month. I use prepaid refill cards to cover my monthly bill. I pay a solid $40 a month for unlimited talk and text with 2.5 GB of high-speed data. I use Cricket Wireless, which is my preferred carrier for quality service while paying an exceptionally low price for what I am getting.
I will have trouble paying my monthly bill because of my current health condition. What I like about this particular bill is that they accept refill cards, which are actually gift cards. They also accept prepaid cards. I would love to receive some. Any amount is perfect.
I work online because of the rewards you get out of it. I am very committed to earn these tiny points for real world money. My parents are very hard working and they do not have the money to spend on whatever we want. Because of this, I spend the majority of my free time taking online surveys and clicking ads. I especially like to buy restaurant gift cards. I occasionally buy pizza gift cards and Amazon gift cards.
Working online is not easy, and only a certain group of people can do it. I tell my friends about this and when they try it out for the first time, they don’t keep it up, which is why us teenagers do not work. I even talked to my older brother about working online, and he seems to not have the right commitment for it. Working for money requires a great deal of commitment, and only a few teenagers have this, and I am very thankful for this unique gift.
Having commitment is the number one requirement for working. Commitment is what drives you to work. Without commitment, you cannot work. As for me, I have lots of commitment for working online and paying my monthly bill.
My number one motivation for continuing to work online is obviously the rewards! There is a huge catalog of rewards to choose from. From where I work from, they solely have gift cards to many places such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and my favorite, Amazon.
Because I have cancer, I am not able to work much. Thankfully for online working, there is no minimum requirement to keep the job. So, not earning anything for as long as you want will not get you fired. I am thankful that I can work anytime I want.
In conclusion, I have lots of experience. I have a general idea of what my parents do to keep my family alive and what they do. If anybody wishes to work online, please be aware that commitment is key and it is NOT as easy as you may think. In order to get what you want, you have to put effort in it. Like what they always say, “The amount of effort you put into something is the amount of reward you get out of it.”
