Chapter Eleven

Gina mixed up another batch of crepes, knowing that she was already coated in flour but not giving a damn. The truck had been terribly busy today. The weekend was creeping up on them, and the weather had increased foot traffic. She quickly picked up the mixing bowl and tossed in two eggs and butter with her flour. They had been selling blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry crepes all morning. Tai had added cheesy potatoes and an egg, bacon, and cheese croissant with white pepper gravy to the menu as well. The menu was simple. However, the crowd never stopped. Therefore, the crew had been moving around chaotically trying to keep up.

As much as the cooking relaxed her Gina was still thinking about the food truck competition that Eric had seen in his magazine. The funding for the competition was completely provided for the groups that made it. Only ten trucks were chosen for the venue and they had a good chance at being one of them if they applied. They only needed one more person in order to compete. All of their hotel stays, gas, and food were provided by the competition sponsors. The competition even offered temporary insurance as long as they stayed in the running. The winner of the competition​ would also get a quarter of a million dollars to help with future operations of their business. It was an opportunity that their business may…
