So, you are challenging me and that is great. I like it. First, to your point, I actually had this very thing explained to me last night. Darcy Conroy did a great job cutting to the heart of the issue and how this form of criticism is a valid one. Find her explanation here:

So, yeah, Darcy explained that it wasn’t technically “plagiarism” in the purest sense of the word. And while her explanation makes sense and is one I can accept, there’s another part to it and that is that his criticism failed (see Darcy’s post for more on that, she explains it better than I ever could).

On the idea that men are under represented, maybe math will help you out here:

“The results of the 2014 midterm election marked an important milestone in the history of the U.S. Congress. For the first time, more than 100 women will be serving in Congress: 20 in the Senate (20% of all senators) and a record 84 women in the House of Representatives (19% of all House members).”

Golly! 20% of senators and 19% of representatives are women! Wow… Clearly men are in danger of being under-represented. You do know that 20% is SMALL and not nearing a majority right?

As of 2015, a total of 36 women (21 Democrats and 15 Republicans) have served as governors in 27 states. In addition, one woman has served as governor in Puerto Rico”

WHOA! 36 women in history have been Governors — currently there are FIVE female Governors! Fuck me. Clearly the feminist movement is ‘mainstream’ now! Clearly these women just won’t STFU until they TAKE ALL OUR JOBS! They want our power! They won’t let up until we are under-represented.

“Today, 26 women are serving as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies (5.2%). The share serving as CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies is virtually the same (5.4%).”

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?! 5.2%! You know that Fortune 500 is like 500 of the top companies in the US right? Fortune 1000 is the top 1000 including the top 500, yes? So the percentage of women CEO’s of the 500 is NEARLY THE SAME as it is for the top 1000!

Women. We want everything. We won’t be satisfied until you men have nothing. We clearly don’t understand how much you’ve already given up.

Numbers don’t lie. But something tells me you haven’t done your research.
