I have never had “sexy” to fall back on.
Thank you for this. This helps explain it a bit.

Honestly, who fucking told you that, Charlotte Franklin? How do you know you aren’t sexy?

Are you saying you don’t look like a page in a magazine?

Do you honestly believe if you’re fat or lopsided or have disheveled hair, you cannot be sexy?

We cannot see you visually here, but I have news for you — this statement you’re making — it’s not coming from the outside, here on this platform.

Where does this come from? Do you just not feel sexy?

I’m not trying to badger you. I promise. I also can’t sit here and read you saying such a thing about yourself and not challenge it.

Who decides “sexy?!?”

I’m sure my life experience isn’t the same as yours — I spent so many years believing I am not sexy.

So many years.

But you know what? I ooze sexy. I always fucking have. It’s on my sleeve. Because I’m passionate.

Yes, I am somewhat exotic looking and I am within my weight range for my height — but I am 4'9" tall! You try looking in the mirror at that and seeing sexy. You won’t. And you definitely don’t feel attractive when everyone around you tells you how ugly you are every day.

What I have learned is that these things are subjective. It doesn’t matter if my face is good enough for Vogue, if I don’t believe I’m “sexy,” I am not sexy.

Do you even want to be sexy? If so, you can be that to you. You must be that to you before anyone else will ever see you that way.

So, what do you WANT? And what is this loyalty to “not sexy” doing for you?

I’m sorry. I hate the way you have talked about yourself. It hurts my heart and I want to help. Forgive me and feel free to tell me to fuck off if you like.
