I like all of those, Caleb Ramsby. I don’t know I could ascribe them to Sumant Manne.
He is a good man, despite his scrappy bits. He does like the fight. But when I picture him, I always imagine a sweet one who has been hurt more then his fair share.
When we hurt so inside it is very hard to know who wishes us ill and who wants to hold us in warmth. I see good in him because he has more good then bad. We do want the same things. He is also not jumping my fence too much because he focuses on himself and others he feels he knows well.
This is a rare kind of good. The naysayer and challenger helps us see a more tempered response option. There must be those in the world willing to take on the opposing view, otherwise this whole ‘diversity’ business is really bullshit.
Know what I mean? ❤
