That is 100% correct. During my hospital stay I was diagnosed with ADHD officially. I left with a script for Ritalin. My mom filled it once and then refused to allow me to continue treatment.

Today, she argues with me about my son’s meds. It comes down to the fact that he and I reflect a part of her that she hates about herself. She’s not perfect. We are a reminder of that fact. But it isn’t about her. So we get medical treatment because we need it.
