Ummm, no. Because the titles of those filters are dripping with lovely and flowery language. They are presented as a way to “beautify” your photo, where the others are intended to be “funny and mocking.” That’s degrading to some people.
And honestly, I don’t use the thing anyway and didn’t ever expect to — now I know for sure I won’t be downloading that stupid thing.
Think about it, would you? For just a moment. The big picture of the thing — filters that “whiten” are intended to filter out blemishes and make a person “pretty” they crown a head with flowers like a princess, etc. The filters that “darken” or take skin from any to dark, are mocking, HAHAHA, look what I did to my face, Tim! Isn’t that hilarious! I’m Asian now!
I’m not sure how to see this any other way, honestly.
My only criticism of this post is the use of Kayne’s image at the end. I don’t like that guy because he vocally minimizes veterans and has an entitled attitude.
