Yeah, I agree with like all of that.
What was interesting to me was the change in Bush after he left office. I think he sees his errors. I hear him speak now and he is more humble, less sure of himself, slowed down and more articulate.
I don’t think he’s a Narcissist like Trump is — I used to think he was, but he has shown true remorse for soldiers who were injured in his wars. I don’t think narcissists are capable of showing that kind of remorse — it doesn’t feel fake to me.
Maybe wishful thinking. But yeah, money wins. Money won here. People chose money over our safety, over our countries’ respect on the global stage and over our values.
Because at the end of the day that’s the only redeeming quality (if you can even call it that) that Trump “had.”
The stupid part is that he’s not going to share any of that wealth and he isn’t even trying to hide the ways he is using the presidency already to acquire more.
It’s like watching a train wreck.
