This works for those who believe.

Yeah… that’s why I tried to clarify that I can use the religion specific words interchangeably. I agree with you. I don’t subscribe to the “Jesus is the only way” exclusive thing as Christians do.

But I believe in the power of the parable. I believe in what Jesus stood for — whether that’s divine or whatever isn’t a concern for me.

And, that’s why I said that all religions have this “golden rule element” and even those brought up without religion are taught the same thing:

“How would you feel if they did that to you?”

Comes to mind…

I guess the Biblical quotes threw it off and made it unclear. I am not religious. I am spiritual. I believe God meets us where we are, in our native tongue, with our parable history, and it isn’t all the same story for everyone.

I got fuzzy there in the middle. Sorry.
