Love’s Desire
Feb 25, 2017 · 1 min read

In the fires of passion hearts burn,
A wooden box of temptation.
The point of no return,
Love’s final cremation.
Starving flames, consuming box,
Only a chain of wire.
No keys, just locks,
Love’s hungry fire.
Red, clouded eyes, no sights to behold,
A thunderstorm of tears.
In falling drops the dreams unfold,
Into Love’s deepest fears.
Let go and drop the chain,
The open mouthed fire.
The wave of heat and final pain,
Love’s solitary desire.
