At the age of 22, I received a full scholarship to study for an Erasmus Mundus masters in Sustainable Tropical Forestry in Europe. I loved the mountains, particularly the Himalayas where my paternal family comes from. My education brought me closer to the mountains through the study of Himalayan medicinal plants.

This year, I went to the Himalayan mountains again after two years of gap since the pandemic. We started from Gangotri near Rishikesh, on a sacred path towards the source of the mighty Ganga. The air was chill and hollow at an icy temperature of 2 degrees in the early morning. All my trekking gear packed up, I had my warmest clothes on to protect me from wind, snow, and rain. I felt ready for anything. But, what happened later on this day I was neither prepared for nor will I ever forget. Somewhere in the first 10km of the walk, I was pushed off the mountains’ edge by an overloaded mule.

I fell 12 ft down into the lap of the valley that led to the riverbed thousands of meters deep. My head hit the ground first- but on a soft bed of pine leaves. This patch was all there was, everywhere else were sharp rocks that would have killed me on impact instantly. My body was prevented from rolling into the abyss by these rocks. The right side of my body, the head, shoulders, hip and knee had suffered tremendously. I could not believe that I was still alive. I completed the trek until Gaumukh — the mouth of the glacier from whence The Ganga emerges, in a lot of pain. When I looked back, I sensed what had protected me- my guardian spirits were there and so was the protection of my Yogasiddha guru- Guru Pashupati.

After this trek, I continued with my original plan to visit the Trilok Akhada in Mysore, India where he resides with other students. Guru Pashupati fixed the right side of my body, healed it from the trauma of 10 days of pain, muscle atrophy due to the cold and lack of comfort and food without using any modern medication or machines. Since this second life began last month, I have been filled with the renewed realization of my purpose in life. To teach Himalayan holistic healing in Europe.

This video of my interview with Guru Pashupati unlocks the secrets of Himalayan yoga for the first time in the history of humanity.

These teachings come from the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali, that have been interpreted accurately and taught in an appropriate way for the modern context without losing the original methods. Each human being is capable of healing themselves. All that a healer does is facilitate healing in the body; and we are inviting you to learn to heal yourself, your loved ones and the world.

This course will delve into the basics that is a prerequisite for our more advanced certified courses.
