St. John’s Church, Forsyth Ganj
The church is very ancient, made entirely of stone. Both the inside and the outside of the structure is peaceful and beautiful. You must visit this church, built in 1852.
Mcleodganj
Mcleodganj is also known as Little Lhasa, is the residence of the Tibetan Government in exile and His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. The entire town is full of monasteries, Tibetan museums, restaurants, nunneries, and markets. You can visit the Namgyal Monastery, Men Tsee Khang, TIPA, Losel Doll Museum, Norbulingka Art Gallery, and other monasteries in Mcleodganj.
Dharamkot
Dharamkot is the starting point for some of the treks routes originating from Dharamshala. The place itself offers beautiful views of hills and valleys. The treks for Triund and Indrahar Pass start from here.
Bhagsunag waterfall and temple
Bhagsunag temple is a very old holy place. It has a holy water spring and a separate pool for bathing. A few meters above the temple is a several feet high Bhagsunag waterfall and a center of picnic and enjoyments.
Palampur
Palampur is known for the vast tea gardens. The tea extracted from these gardens has a unique flavor and aroma. It is best to walk around these gardens and enjoy the slight misty air. Palampur is also a well-known honeymoon spot.
When is the Best Time to visit?
Although the destination remains open throughout the year, April till October are the best months to explore every bit of the charm. Snow lovers can come here in February with ample of preparation to beat the cold.
