Brands Vision and Mission Statements that can change your life

Companies have earned enough revenue after working persistently by improving what they are doing. Daily, we watch advertisements (digital and outdoor), buy, and consume products like never before. But we usually never ask, why do we buy certain products from particular brands? Is it because of its excellent quality, or is it just popular among our peers, and you can’t wait for it anymore, or is it we only believe in the vision of the same brand? Well, its all about the root cause. We need to find its root cause, why do we buy it, and you will indirectly find it connected with their vision and mission statements.

Why am I explicitly writing about it?

Because companies and brands are just like another human being, they all have organs, just like we have, working together to survive and thrive in their lives. And surely, we all can take something back and implement the same in our lives.

So here are some Mission and Vision statements by the most prominent brands:

Apple

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

In terms of technology, Apple is doing well. They are continually innovating and making products that are different from others. But in terms of price, they are pretty negligent about what others are proposing. And now, I can understand why they don’t care about the price because it was never their goal or a problem to solve because they prioritize user experience. Their products are all about providing more convenience to their customers, but for a price that is higher than others.

Google

Mission 2019

Vision

My thoughts

Google is known as a search engine to the world, but in the last few years, they have made a lot of business technology viable with their products such as Gsuite. Their mission statement is simple and transparent. It automatically proves that actions are louder than words. They are getting close to their vision due to their impeccable technology and customization available on their platforms.

Coca-Cola

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

I never thought about a soft drink doing that big. But here it is. Do you know that the Coca-Cola recipe is one of the biggest secrets in the world? I know, surprisingly good, right? Spreading happiness is something I have seen in their ads as well as in real life. Drinking Coca-cola is something known as a premium drink, & especially for people who cannot drink alcohol. But I honestly never found consuming their products as a healthy practice as it contains so much sugar, enough sugar to make you fat. But they still sell, so much that the company made a Net income‎ of US$6.43 billion, last year.

Twitter

Mission 2019

Vision

A direct tweet to Jack Dorsey (The founder of Twitter)

My Thoughts

I have been using twitter since 2013, and the user base isn’t as much popular as Facebook or any other social media platform, but what I like is their premium content and the way they spread it. You can easily reach out to celebrities and brands directly, without any barrier which somehow complements their mission statement.

Amazon

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

I live in India, and companies like Flipkart were there to give Amazon a competitive edge. But where I find amazon.in better is their tracking monitor and packaging of their delivered products. They do complement their mission statement and are also closer to their vision.

Nike

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

Nike was never behind money. They are behind the greatness of athleticism, which also inspires ordinary people like us to become like an athlete. Their products signify a better us, a healthier person in us, who can do play more and do more. I have mostly seen iconic athletes in their ads such as Ronaldo or Neymar or Virat Kohli, covering all types of sports. And their ads are very less about how their products look or how much comfortable are they?

Microsoft

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

Microsoft’s vision and mission are true to their doings as they are helping businesses to thrive and become more technologically advanced. Still, their product user interface is more complicated than its competitors. But Overall, their windows 10 PC, and Microsoft office is something I consider worth creating a dent in the world.

Starbucks

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

Whenever I hear Starbucks, I get a premium vibe for coffee and so, do my peers. And that is where it becomes more evident how loyal they are to their mission and vision statement. Starbucks sells worldwide and made a revenue of $28 billion last year. They do sell the most excellent coffee in the world and have a distinguished taste. They want to make sure that whoever drinks their coffee, feel more inspired and cheerful about life.

Walmart

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

Walmart has been with us since 1969 and operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores worldwide. They are focused on customer savings, and helping them to buy quality products in cheap cannot comment because I haven’t been there.

Toyota

Mission 2019

Vision

My Thoughts

Toyota is known for making premium cars with a compact engine. Everything feels right to me when I ride a Toyota car, but obviously, subjective. Innovation and leadership have been Toyota’s gift from the beginning. Toyota always pays attention to the luxury and safety of its buyer, with end result definitely a vehicle one can be proud to drive.

In a nutshell,

All of these brands signify greatness in their fields, whether its a cup of coffee or sports shoes to wear or a search engine to search complex things, everything they do has a purpose. They believe in constant innovation but also maintaining the culture among their people. Their products are not just about consumption but also about how we feel after consuming them. And that’s is what being human is all about. We can all learn something from these big giants and their unfading vision.
