September 5th, 2023 marks the day that Gondola entered the cryptosphere. Like every other project in the Era of the Shitcoin, Gondola endured a pump and dump at launch. People quickly moved on, searching for their next hit of dopemine, to then get dumped on, and then rinse and repeat this disempowering form of self-flagellation. All that was left of the Gondola project, scattered amongst the weeds of the TG chat, were a handful of people including the devs who were confronted with a choice. To move on, or to grind. These clearly weren’t your ordinary people. And this wasn’t your ordinary dev team. So grind it was.
Like a phoenix, Gondola has risen from the ashes of that fateful launch day. The core group emboldened by the excellence and versatility of this meme, linked their arms together and braved the front lines of the war-torn shitcoin-scape, pushing forward from trench to trench where fudders, jeets, and scammers run amok; their zombie mucus brains desperate for bite size profits from which they are so desperately starved. But nothing could take down this band of Gondoliers. Because there was something special that united them. That something was an idea. And that idea was glorious. A shared vision so strong that it soon took on a bigger meaning in the greater context of the crypto space. We were to embark on the treacherous mission to implement integrity and a sense of virtue into memecoins and shitcoin culture. To essentially turn shit, into wine. To develop a community and create lasting relationships. To relearn what it means to put in hard work and effort and reap exponential rewards not only financially, but spiritually. To be a REAL fucking human being. To create and share Gondola memes knowing fully well that we can sleep soundly at night without having to unpack our bags. And truthfully, this now has turned into something much larger than just the money. I believe that is what now separates us from every other crypto project. Our community has been buying and burning our own tokens to a very large extent (look it up) as a symbol of our steadfast belief. We intend to help forge the pathway ahead in the new era of meme coins. An entirely new paradigm where the mucus brain zombie engagement farmers (who have very few if not any of the virtues described herein), fall by the wayside. It is integral to the transitioning of any new era to fight against the current status quo in order to realize its own identity. And what a beautiful day that will be. When the energy vampires will have to face the light of the sun. And either grow a soul or wither away into the shitcoin abyss…
We the stewards of the Gondola project carry the torch for all who are tired of what this space currently has to offer. We welcome the battle weary jeets who are hanging on by a thread. We empathize with your trials and tribulations for we were once you. But we are you no longer. We developed a certain level of grit born out of the gutter of a 6k market cap. Since then, our goal remains singular. Our focus remains singular. A truly grassroots foundation is rarely seen in this space because is not attuned to the fear based culture of our current time; and so we built one. The core group have not been paid. We are true believers who will not be discouraged by anything or anyone. Every jeet, every fader, and every fudder, only strengthens our resolve.
