Desire and Being Grateful.

For tonight i literally have nothing to do, so i decides to started writing about what’s in my minds. THIS article is my first writing, so i guess i’ll just open it with a quotes.

Happiness is not about what you have, Happiness is about how grateful you are with what you have

I heard this sentences everywhere, multiple times. Well, somehow that’s true, but if you ask me, if you REALLY ask me. If i have right now only 20 bucks in my pocket, and you ask me if i’m grateful for what i have right now, i would say YES! i’m grateful for some people can’t have what i have right now. BUT if i have a chance of having 100 bucks in my pocket, or if i have any opportunity to create more, who doesn’t want that?

So, the question is, Is man’s desire a sin? a sin for not being grateful by what you have now? is it the same thing as greed?

For weeks i have been thinking and for me the answer is a big NO.

Desire is a a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen, where greed is intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.

Greed is an ‘intense’ desire. A human must understand the line of having desire and greed. The line that separates these two things is YOUR ability to be grateful.

Strong desire drives us forward in the highway, without it we will just accept our condition without even trying to be better, to push our limits. Yet greed brings us running around in circles looking for something that will never satisfy ourself.

Dream bigger, have yourself a massive goal in your life, but stay grateful for anything that you have right now.

Good night, God bless !

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
