Review: Behringer DD400 Delay
No video yet, but it’s used in several on my channel.

I pretty much only got this delay because it was so cheap, and because it had a hold function. I love stacking delays into each other to make big washes of unpleasant noise, although it’s not something I would necessarily want to do on my board - on that, I prefer using parallel delays.
Regardless, this is a pretty self-explanatory pedal. It’s more-or-less a clone of the perennially popular Boss DD3, and being digital, there’s almost nothing of note to say about the delays. They’re bright, pristine and digital-sounding; I doubt if I could tell it apart from the Boss real deal.
Of most interest to those of a mathy persuasion, and perhaps those not inclined to spend big bucks on the MWFX Judder, Mini-Judder, or Hexe Revolver, is that it has a hold/sample function. If you had a more expensive digital delay like one of the DD-range, it’s unlikely that you’d use it just for glitch and hold effects, but for the £20–30 that this retails for, that’s a genuine option with the DD400.
So, yeah. Not revolutionary, not stellar, but thoroughly adequate and very, very cheap indeed. Plus, glitch effects. What’s not to like?
