While randomly surfing through the web I came across a really odd technique termed as Pomodoro. At first I thought that just like every other useless stuff found on web has such catchy names, it will also be the same. However, once I started to read about this technique, it came to my knowledge that it was one of the most widely used Time Management method.

In order to check it’s authenticity, I decided to try it on myself at first. Therefore, while listening to a tutorial on YouTube, I set up a timer of 25. Initially, it was really difficult for me to avoid distractions because the moment I started listening to the tutorial some other work popped up into my head. There were times when I had to literally shook my head in order for the thoughts to clear out.

At first, after most probably 10 to 15 minutes i lose my concentration due to worldly distractions. However, with the passage of time my distraction time increased upto 25 minutes. Once the alarm rang after 25 minutes I went outside from my room in order to get some fresh air. I kept doing it for five to six times until I was able to easily complete my 25 minutes concentration program.

Currently, I am planning to keep practicing this technique until and unless I am able to extend my focus level up to 45 to 50 minutes because longer the focus, the better. So, in order to improve my experience I am planning to sit in an isolated room with maximum light in it in order to improve my focus. Also, I have decided to switch off my mobile WiFi owing to the distractions caused by the social media. Also the best thing that I have learnt from this activity is:

Practise makes a man perfect
