How to Make 2018 Your Best Year Ever
Did you know only roughly 8% of people actually keep their New Year’s resolutions?
That means the vast majority of people fail. And the reason they fail is pretty simple. It’s actually semi-related to sales. They’re only highlighting the upside. Which is important but they’re not hammering the pain points. The cost of NOT taking that action. The long term cost of NOT getting this habit, behavior or routine down. What your life will look like if you DON’T take action.
When you only highlight the upside, it’s easy to give up.
You’re basically just wishing at that point.
“My New Year’s resolution is to start going to the gym twice a week.”
Translation: I wish I would go to the gym twice a week.
When was the last time you “wished” for something and some shit magically happened? You tell me and I’ll sell all my things and come learn this art of wizardry from you.
Put plain and simply — as human beings we don’t change unless we seriously want something and envision the downside if we don’t get that thing. (i.e. You quit your job to start a business.) OR unless we’re subject to extreme pain or potential pain and are forced to change. (i.e. Your doctor informs you that you have lung cancer and that you should stop smoking.)
We only have one month left in 2017.
Let’s not engage in another shitty yearly mainstream “New Year’s Wish” and actually do something that’s going to have a meaningful impact on your life and 2018.
