So how are your no non-veg days going?? What was that? Protein intake reduced?? Why Oh why??
Let us help you! Yeah we always have a solution.. well, mostly!
Hmm so here’s our next trial for your no non-veg but protein needing days…
Ingredients:
Paneer — 250g
Beans (french) — 100g
Chopped Spinach leaves — 8–10
Turmeric powder — 2tsp
Red chilli powder — 2tblespn
Garam masala — 2 tsp
Salt, as per taste
Got it all? Let’s start then.
Cut the paneer in small cubes and put the cubes in a bowl. Add 1tsp turmeric powder, 1tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp garam masala and a pinch of salt. Mix it all and leave it aside for 10–15 minutes.
Now pour water in a bowl and let it boil. Chop the beans meanwhile to a decent size. Once the water boils, switch off the burner and add the beans to the water for hardly 2–3 minutes. Then take out the beans and keep them under cold water immediately.
Meanwhile, take a pan and drop less than a tsp of oil. Once a bit hot, add the chopped Spinach leaves. Stir at regular intervals. The leaves will start leaving water. Let the water dry completely. Once dried, add the beans, 1tsp turmeric, 1tbspn red chilli powder, 1tsp garam masala and just a pinch of salt (remember paneer also has salt). Keep stirring at regular intervals till the beans and spinach get a bit crisp. Add the marinated paneer cubes and mix well.
If you like it hot, eat it right away or else keep it in the refrigerator for sometime and then consume it.
Note: You may add onions too.
