The “More-ness” of Privilege
Joel Leon.

What utter racist nonsense, sir.

First of all, I wouldn’t go around bragging about your “mastery of the pen” when your piece here is riddled with typos and grammatical errors. I know that seems like an ad-hominem attack, but it’s relevant when you’re preaching about how skilled you are and making claims relevant to said skill and hard work. In other words, no one trusts diet books written by morbidly obese people.

Your anecdotal evidence is just that. Examine some data and take a gander at who all is receiving welfare benefits by ethnic group. If anything, it’s whites whose money is being taken and given away. I have spent seven years working in customer service in a very diverse city, so I’ve had a fair amount of time to collect data points. You want to know who the most demanding and irritating customers are? Indians, followed in a close second by Asians. They try to haggle and constantly demand freebies and beg to use coupons repeatedly. Their arrogance and sense of entitlement is astonishing. They are rude and pushy to boot. Latinos and blacks aren’t as demanding, but still incredibly cheap and frustrating to deal with because of language barriers and let’s be honest, the intelligence gap. Human beings are pattern recognition machines. We can’t help but notice when certain groups consistently display certain behavioral patterns. We’re not judging by skin color, but by behavior. “Ethnic jokes might be uncouth, but you laugh because they’re based on truth.”

If this country is SOO custom-tailored to deliver results to white people and keep minorities down, then explain Asian “privilege” to me. They consistently do better in school than whites and make more money. The truth of the matter is this: we created a system that rewards hard work and intelligence and the degree to which groups are successful as groups in this equal-opportunity, egalitarian society represents their diligence and natural biological gifts. Asians have slightly higher average IQ’s than whites and have a culture that values hard work and education, so it makes sense. On the other-hand, blacks are two standard deviations below whites. That is not trivial, and it matters when we’re talking about large groups of people. No one is “taking” anything from anyone…unless you mean via massive taxation and redistribution of wealth via the welfare system, which has hurt black communities tremendously by replacing fathers with the state. First-world nations have poured MASSIVE amounts of wealth into third-world nations and into our own minority communities and it has barely made a difference. It’s absolutely maddening, but it is what it is. Take a gander at what is going on in South Africa at the moment. “Racism” and lack of money and resources are not the issue. There is just scarce little we can do to close biological intelligence gaps.

Furthermore, this was not a nation of “immigrants”…it was a nation of white, European settlers. Realistic estimates put it at 2 million natives occupying North America at the time of colonization. It was a clash of an advanced civilization coming into contact with a much less advanced civilization. No Native American tribes had even discovered metallurgy at the time. There were unpleasantries on both sides, but nothing was taken. Natives are still here (I’m a Cherokee descendant myself) and in larger numbers than before colonization and in a much higher standard of living. This has happened repeatedly throughout human history. All cultures and races have participated in conquest, exploration and slavery. Yet white people where the only ones to put an end to slavery throughout the world and fight a bloody civil war to end it in America, where less than 10% of southerners were slave owners. Native Americans had slaves too, by the way. I don’t know if you were aware of that or not.

I also don’t understand how you gather that blacks are timid and afraid to acknowledge their accomplishments. I’ve found the opposite to be true. And nevermind that hip-hop was basically all bragging and boasting back in the day. I’ve admired a lot of my black co-workers for their confidence and sense of pride in their accomplishments.

Here’s some anecdotal evidence for you: While on our honeymoon in the Caribbean, my husband and I noticed that the local blacks behaved very differently from American blacks. There was no sense of animosity or smugness between races there. On our taxi ride to the airport on our way home, we struck up a conversation with our driver (a local black woman) and asked her if she too had noticed this difference. She gave a resounding “YES”. She said American blacks were the worst, always begging for more, trying to haggle, and don’t tip. She thought they were entitled and had a “chip on their shoulders”. She added, “If I could, I would put a sticker on the outside of my cab that says WHITE MAN TAXI.” I kid you not.

If whites are SO awful and oppressive and miserable to be around, then why don’t you just leave? I mean, if I reeeeallly felt like I was being oppressed and disadvantaged and EVIL white men were just constantly taking and stealing from my people and it was driving me nuts just to see a white woman asking for samples at a restaurant, so much so that it inspired me to take to the interwebs and write an article attacking an entire ethnic group….then I would just GTFO for sure. Go somewhere where you’re not a “disadvantaged minority” and see how you get on. Really. To me, it seems like you’re doing perfectly fine for yourself, aside from being indoctrinated with a bunch of leftist lies and a victimhood mentality.
