Best Hall Effect Keyboards with Rapid Trigger and DKS List (December 2024 Update)

--

Here’s my full list of Hall Effect keyboards (using magnetic switches) with Rapid Trigger, Dynamic keystroke and adjustable actuation point features. Basically the best for gaming. I will keep it updated regularly.

Full-Sized (96%-100%) HE Keyboards:

  1. Keydous NJ98-CP Pro HE V2— $149.99
  2. NEWMEN GM560Pro — $99.99
  3. Wooting Two HE — $194.99
  4. Steelseries Apex Pro — $199.99
  5. Keychron Q5 HE QMK — $229
  6. Corsair K70 Max — $229.99

This category is not much to write about, all exciting releases happen in the 75% layout.

Keydous NJ98-CP Pro HE V2

But I’ve got to talk about Keydous. Really good magnetic switch keyboard and it’s wireless and reasonably priced. But the NJ98-CP HE V2 version supports both magnetic and regular mechanical switches 3/5pin, so this is the first one of the kind. All other magnetic keyboards only support magnetic switches and often only a specific type.

Steelseries and Corsair are decent, but I’ve had problems with Steelseries before and Corsair isn’t hotswappable for other magnetic switches. Wooting Two HE is pretty great, but it was released a long time ago.

75%/80%/TKL HE Keyboards

  1. ZOUYA X86 — $69.99
  2. ATTACK SHARK K85 (75%) — $79.99
  3. IROK ND75 (75%) — $89.99
  4. Gamakay TK75HE (75%) — $89.99
  5. YUNZII RT75 (75%) — $89.99 ($5 off with HLPLANET code)
  6. Epomaker HE75 Mag — $99.99
  7. MonsGeek MG75S HE — $99.99 (5% off with HLPLANET)
  8. Keydous NJ80-CP — $99.99 (wireless, wired only version is only $89.99)
  9. Drunkdeer G75 — $109.99 (code HLPLANET for $10 off)
  10. Monsgeek M1W-SP HE (75%) — $119.99
  11. Drunkdeer A75 Pro (75%) — $125.99 (silent switch option, the best keyboard at this price in my opinion)
  12. Nuphy Air75 HE — $129.95 (low profile hall effect keyboard)
  13. Melgeek Cyber01 (80%) — $139
  14. Nuphy Field75 HE — $149.95
  15. ATK RS7 eSports — $149
  16. Akko MOD007B HE and MOD007PC (75%) — $149.99
  17. Melgeek MADE84 Pro (75%) — $159
  18. Akko MOD007v3 HE (75%) — $179.99
  19. Lamzu Atlantis Pro (65%) — $159.99
  20. Wooting 80HE (80%) — $199.99/289.99
  21. Keychron Q1 HE (75%) — $219.99
  22. Keychron Q3 HE (TKL) —$224
  23. Meletrix BOOG75 (75%) — $229.99

DrunkDeer A75 Pro is pretty great for this price as it has aluminum case and decent software with Snap Tap. Drunkdeer G75 is very similar to it, but without the aluminum plate, but it sounds better and you can get it for $99 + shipping. I can also recommend Epomaker HE75 Mag if you want a wireless magnetic switch keyboard that is not over $200 like Keychron. And Nuphy Field75 HE or ATK RS7 if you want the lowest latency.

Drunkdeer G75 that I bought for $99

Akko MOD007B HE is in my regular use right now and I really like it, but they’ve already released a v3 model with 8kHz polling rate and some minor improvements.

Wooting 80HE is tiny bit better than 60HE, it has 8kHz polling, great latency and rappy snappy, snappy tappy, definitely a worthy contender, but a bit pricey.

Meletrix Boog75 has great build quality, it feels like a custom keyboard and has very low latency, but it’s also expensive.

Nuphy Field75 HE which has released in August 2024 has great specs with its magnetic wrist rest and 8kHz polling. I have it now too and the build quality is great with lots of extra buttons if you like that.

At budget my winners are Keydous NJ80-CP, Drunkdeer G75 and YUNZII RT75.

65% HE Keyboards

  1. Latenpow Looting66/68 — $79
  2. Nuphy Halo65 HE — $89.95
  3. DrunkDeer G65 — $117.99
  4. Luminkey Magger 68 HE — $119.99
  5. Endgame Gear KB65HE — $139
  6. Melgeek MADE68 Pro —$149
  7. Varmilo Muse65 HE — $155
  8. Lamzu Atlantis Pro— $159.99
  9. Varmilo Victory 67 — $199
Muse65 HE

Muse65 HE is the clear winner for me because of the design and great feeling of the keyboard, the software is also decent. For budget the DrunkDeer G65 is the best in my opinion, also a great keyboard and has Snap Tap. And then Looting66 or Looting68 are nice entry keyboards for a very low price. Haven’t tested them myself though.

60% HE Keyboards

  1. E-YOOSO Hz-61 — $59.99
  2. MCHOSE —$29–$49
  3. Womier M68 HE — $75
  4. DrunkDeer G60 — $99.99
  5. Akko 3061S HE Shine-Through —$109.99
  6. Nuphy Air60 HE — $119.95
  7. SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini — $149.99
  8. Wooting 60HE — $174.99
  9. SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini — $179.99
  10. ATK EDGE 60 HE — $199
  11. Sikakeyb Castle HM66 — $230

I wouldn’t go with the cheap Redragon keebs because of the software. Wooting 60HE is the winner here, but I’m now testing the Akko 3061S HE and it’s quite interesting. DrunkDeer is ofcourse great for a budget too.

Nuphy Air60 HE

And in this category we also have Nuphy Air60 HE which is the only low-profile HE keyboard on the market now. I tried it on IFA Berlin and it felt really smooth.

And HM66 has latency under 1 ms, which is better than Wooting but it’s quite expensive.

What do I recommend (as a Valorant casual player)

  • Boog75, Akko MOD007v3 HE, A75 Pro or Melgeek Cyber01 for 75% — lots of great keyboards in this layout
  • Wooting 60HE for 60%
  • Drunkdeer G75 or A75 Pro on budget
  • Meletrix BOOG75 for a premium alternative to Wooting (feels super nice and can’t feel a differenct in latency)
  • Keydous NJ98CP or Wooting Two HE for full sized keyboard layout.
