A school assignment to better understand the basics of photography.

Me struggling to capture good essence.
  • aperture

Main focus is on the dandelion, while the background is blurred. The aperture is the opening of lens, which allows a certain amount of light to pass through.

f/5.6

  • shutter speed

The time/speed of the camera is exposed to light while taking the shot, it can be set to a quick or slow speed.

1/4000 sec to capture the motion of the swing.

  • ISO

Iso is the light sensitivity of your camera, you can adjust the settings for daytime and nighttime.

The image came out dark and grainy, like it was nighttime. But it was still daylight.

iso- 6400

  • depth of field

The area of your photo that is sharp and in focus is the depth of field, in the image you can see the object is closer then spirals further into the distance to show depth. The image is crisp for what appears close.

  • dynamic range

Dynamic range is the difference of the lightest and darkest tones of an image.

Light and Dark contrast, showing the depth of darker tones, compared to the white sky.
