Sandeep Datar loved this article.. looking forward to the next two in the series.. two things hit home immediately: (1) The competency funnel is how I go about conducting interviews and I think you have captured / explained it very well (2) Hiring someone better than me is probably something I see missing in many company hiring cultures.. which I find very sad. I completely subscribe to the philosphy that the overall team suffers if we hire folks who are subpar.
