So. Okay. I know folks have been posting a couple of essays written by grandchildren of folks who *knew* that Hitler was evil...and so those folks got out in time. And the writers hope they behave like their grandparents.

But I'd just like to point out that a lot of people who *also* knew Hitler was evil did not get out in time not because they didn't see the signs, but because they lacked money, had family commitments, or, you know, were denied asylum in a freedom-loving yet somehow antiSemitic and isolationist country... like the United States.
