Introducing a new feature: temporary deactivation of the offers

Dear all,

Today we introduce to you a new feature at Hodl Hodl — temporary deactivation of the offers.

Quick summary

After getting feedback from our users about “vacant” offers at our exchange, we have decided to update our offer list by allowing temporary deactivation of offers, only if it is not possible to create a contract.

Description

Until now, you might have encountered offers, for which you could not create a contract (e.g. offer creator has reached his limit of active contracts) — which, definitely, complicated the user’s experience and overall perception of trading at Hodl Hodl.

To improve operations of our exchange, we came up with a solution, we automatically deactivate the offer, if our users can not create a contract with it.

From now on, an offer’s transition to “Inactive” status may occur in, but is not limited to, the following situations:

  • If a user has reached their limit for contracts, this user’s offers will be temporarily removed from the offer list, and/or the links to their offers will be unavailable. If the user is able to start a new contract according to his limits, the offers will be visible again in the offer list, and/or available through the link.
  • If an offer’s cryptocurrency price deviates more than 20% from market rate, the offer will be removed from the offer list, and/or the link to the offer will be unavailable. If the offer’s cryptocurrency price no longer deviates more than for 20% from the market rate, the offer will be visible again in the offer list, and/or available through the link.
  • If the user’s account is suspended, all of the user’s offers will be removed from the list, and/or the links to the offers will be unavailable. Once the user is no longer suspended, offers will be visible again in the offer list, and/or available through the link.
